ใช้ระหว่างคนสองคนหรือสิ่งสองสิ่งที่เป็นคำนามต่างๆ เช่น
longer [ยาวกว่า]
taller [สูงกว่า]
fatter [อ้วนกว่า]
more beautiful [สวยกว่า]
โดยรูปประโยคที่ใช้คือ comparative (-er, more)+ than
Sarah's hair is longer than Tara's hair.
Peter is taller than Billy
Mike is fatter than Ken
Sally is more beautiful than Anna
